Welcome to SkillHunt (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and web platform.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a high-integrity, gamified experience, we collect the following types of data:

• Account Information: Name, unique username, email address, password, and country of origin.

• Biometric Identity Data: During registration, we require a face photo to create an “Identity Lock.” This photo is used solely to verify that the person submitting quest proof is the same person who registered the account.

• Quest & Activity Data: Photos or links submitted as “Proof of Work” for quests (e.g., fitness screenshots, book photos, social media links), XP earned, levels achieved, and streak counts.

• Social Data: Hobbies/interests, guild memberships, friend requests, and “Quest Stories” shared within the community.

• Device & Usage Data: We use Google Analytics and Firebase to collect information about app crashes, device type, and how you interact with the app to improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Verification: To ensure the integrity of the leaderboard by matching quest submissions against your registered identity.

• Gamification: To track your progress, calculate levels, and display your ranking on global and guild leaderboards.

• Community Interaction: To allow other users to find you via the “Skill-Swipe” discovery feature and interact with your shared stories.

• Security: To detect and prevent cheating, fraud, or multiple-account abuse.

• Communication: To send push notifications regarding your streaks and quest approvals.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure.

• Photos: Photos are processed and stored as secure Base64 strings or files within Google Cloud/Firestore.

• Encryption: We use industry-standard encryption to protect data in transit and at rest.

• Zero-Sale Policy: We never sell your personal data, biometric data, or activity history to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Sharing

• Public Profile: Your username, country, XP, level, and profile photo are visible to other users on the Leaderboard and Discover sections.

• Service Providers: We share data with Google (Firebase, Gemini AI, Analytics, AdMob) only as necessary to provide the app’s functional features.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

You have total control over your data:

• Access & Update: You can change your name, profile photo, and interests within the app settings.

• Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data (including face photos) at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Data will be purged from our active databases within 30 days.

6. Children’s Privacy

SkillHunt is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as we add new features (like Version 2.0). We will notify users of significant changes via the “Changelog” section in the app.
